Madeline and Nhi receive University Scholars Program Research Award

Congratulations to our undergraduate students Madeline Howe and Nhi Pham, who have been selected for the 2018-2019 University Scholars Program (USP) awards through the UF Center for Undergraduate Research! Madeline and Nhi will work with postdoc Dr. Yuk Pheel Park and graduate fellow John Calise on two of our major projects in the lab. They will investigate CD70 expression in patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) and assist with evaluating efficacy of CD70 CAR-T therapy in mouse xenograft models. Additionally, they will explore the role of IMPDH filament formation in HNSCC, using both human patient samples and mouse xenograft models, as well as utilize biochemical assays to probe mechanisms of IMPDH polymerization.
